I wanted to share a box opening of my first M impulse motor with everyone . It is incredible to reach this step in rocketry ! This M1780NT will be my level 3 NAR certification motor at LDRS 42 Potters , NY June 2024 .

Pretty cool. I just got my level 1 certification. Just flew 500 dollars worth of I motors. It's a little expensive to fly the big motors. I was just looking at motor cases to do rebuilds myself. Cases are a little expensive but if i can save on the fuel it will pay for the casing in the long run. Good luck with that M motor. I look forward to seeing it fly.

@@newtonspersecond You're welcome! I'm one step below waiting for spring and my L2 attempt! Very cool of you to share, I'll need this knowledge sooner or later. Thank you, very nicely done!

I know a few people who will let you borrow that case at LDRS but if I were you I would just buy the case. You can fly so much in those cases

I am trying to save up for that case . I agree there are so many nice motors to use in it

I remember getting my first M motor, picking it and the case up from my local dealer and thinking, holy crap this is huge. I skipped 75mm and went straight to 98 with a 3 grain M1600 and the size difference from the big K's and L's in 54mm to 98 was shocking. Also the weight is a bit surreal. Looks like you had a good Christmas!
