Varvars take on palhinha was actually really good I think they were almost hating at that point. No one at city starts every single game and with rodri being injured palhinha could shore up the defensive midfield when rodri is out and even if he isn't a "pep system" player or "technical on ball" how many players weren't gifted that pep bought and magically turned them into pep system players eg. Stones, akanji etc

a DM is definitely our biggest issue. and Zubimendi sadly is not coming, not now nor in the summer. From what I gathered, he loves his boyhood club a little too much, and they have a great team. However, there is a Brazilian CDM we've been linked with for 25m. (But I heard PSG is going for him, or they already got him, I don't know.)

For liverpool, I personally think a left footed centre back who can also play left back will be important. Matip is out injured for the season and robbo and tsimikas are out with shoulder injuries. As varvar mentioned, hincapie is unhappy with his game time at leverkusen, and for about 50m could be the perfect signing.

Benfica fans love António Silva like he is our child, so if you want him in january, you would need to pay the release clause which is a bit high at 100 mil. In the summer you might be able to negotiate a lower price but I still doubt it. About Florentino, I think he should be playing at Benfica because, whenever he does play he usually performs well, but it would still be too expensive and a signing that would turn out to be risky as he wouldnt be cheap.

As a benfica fan, neither Antonio silva or joao neves are gonna leave in January unless their release clause is triggered: which is 100m euros. Although we're not in ucl anymore we are still in europa and in a rly tight title race and antonio basically single handedly keeps us alive often. I can see us selling him in the summer but he's extremely loyal as well ajd has started to wear the captains armband. No way we let him go easy in the middle of the season.

As a Liverpool fan, I don't think we need a defensive midfielder because maintaining possession or defending hasn't been an issue at all. 1) we have conceded least goals in prem. 2) we could maintain 51% possession against Arsenal who are on top. 3) Also Trent has taken that Cdm role and gomes replaces as rb as a substitute. I would rather say we still need to fill the forward because salah is the only goal scorer who is reliable. It will be hard to replace player like mane who could do play making and goalscoring as well. I think Bowen can give us more stability in forward.

In my opinion Barcelona shouldn’t be primarily focusing on their forwards (although scoring is a big issue for them right now) but they have vitor roque coming in. they have to do two things first The first is that they need a right back desperately, araujos talent is wasted when he isn’t in a center back position and kounde refuses to play there Second, we need a midfielder to reinforce this midfield in the midst of every gavi/pedri /de jong injury who can continue play, keep possession, and be that transition when they need it because the midfielders I just named are never ever healthy together.

Well I believe we desperately need an attacking presence. It’s not there with Lewa in terrible form. I think our midfield is pretty solid as it is and I can only hope that our boys can stay out of injury, and I think that Romeu can perform. Defense wise, they need to figure it out. We have all the players to fill out all 4 back slots and I was thinking that Cancelo plays right back because he has done it. But I think our attack is the weak point, so I’m happy if we sign someone to help with that like Adeyemi
