My grandfather used to sit and sing this song often in the evenings...he died a few years before I was born....1965...would have been nice to sing it with him.

I have only just discovered Boxcar, and I am so glad I did, this song is so moving and spiritual. He sings it effortlessly even though he is not that well. Such a natural country singing voice and so down to earth. God bless you Box and rest in peace.

Thanks for this video. I was in Nashville years ago and they had a flatbed trailer set up in a parking lot close to my hotel. I went out to listen. Several up and coming stars sang. Then Boxcar came out and Blew Them All Away with his voice. I learned something I'll never forget. Don't Judge A Book By The Cover!!!! God Bless Y'all
