Thanks for the review Carlo, the "issue" with the piping around the thumb will disappear with the use, we are in a dilemma about doing the gloves with a "break in" feel out of the box, because we add leather reinforcements that extend the durability of the gloves, if we take out those reinforcements the gloves will be softer but won't last as long. Thanks again and we'll take your criticism into consideration for future iterations :)

Damn I hoped for more enthusiasm... On my pair I found quality of the leather was awesome compared to pakistani gloves I have while everything else is really great. The problem of stitching is nothing really. I found the piping on the thumb to be a problem at first but discomfort totally disappeared during use and training with these is a dream because of comfort and feel.

I love these hhf-gloves! I own one. The only thing you might want to know, is that the finger compartment might be a bit short for long/big hands. I tore the inner lining at the very end of where my finger tip sits, with my a bit too long fingernail. I of course cut my fingernails right after. But wasn’t to happy about that. Still my best glove and a very snug and fairly slim profile. It doesn’t look 16oz at all imo, and works well for any task. Maybe a bit dense for sparring before broken in a bit.

@@jatz99 Your addressing and consistent problem in reviews of Mexican makers who create long lasting gloves. The piping and glove as a whole adapts over the break in period. I think reviews should held off until the glove have been broken in properly. I do realize their are limitations as they are reviewing so many gloves it's difficult to spend the time working on it but it feels like Mexican makers are at a bit of a disadvantage compared to others. Congrats on your dedication to quality! Btw.....brilliant choice on the horsehair placement.

This is one of my favorite gloves, right up there with bayoneta. I agree with your feedback on the thumb strip/piping being tight. That is the only thing that I dont like with this gloves. I've been using it for 30+ rounds of bagwork and the piping has loosened up a bit. But it it still a bit tight and has actually made my thumb painful at times. I tried putting some cloth into the thumb piping, hopefully that works!

@@corvuslaeus9540 heads up on the reap of faith gloves, I picked up a pair and found that they had a lot of quality and design issues. Idk if it’s because I got a different batch than Carlo or because I got the Velcro closure, but the way the leather was cut, the fit was weird in the thumb, wayyyy too much padding on the back of the wrist and not enough on the front. The grip bar was nice but prefer the rolled leather/felt on the Mexican gloves or the TJ1s way more. Sorry Reap, I hated to say such things 😭
