Honestly, I don't really blame celebrities doing that. A lot of celebs have a busy schedule, and these short breaks while eating in a van is probably one of the few breaks they get in a day. But yea IU talking to the fans during a short break shows a special character in her.

I wish the fans would have let her eat more of her sandwich. You know that by eating lunch in her van she had to fit it in as she usually eats at other places. I'm guessing she is kind of used to it by now so she is probably not even bothered by it. This is how important her fans are to her that she interrupts her lunch to interact with them. This is her fan service which is acknowledged by everyone.
