Why not use only plaster? what the advantage of using pumice with it?

The pumice weakens the set plaster and facilitates separation of the cast after pouring. That’s why we need it i guess

man that "technique" suck balls ..its super time consuming its wasteful on resources and can easily deform your impression material and you gonna end up with deformed working model... just use boxing wax or wax from teeth sets(reed sticky one ..and shape and seal it around impression 3-4mm under edge of impression and same wide 3-4 mm's ..then continue as normal)
