Not really the topic here, but Bernard "The Executioner" Hopkins is the very first boxer in any weight class to sucsessfully unify ALL the major world championship belts (Lineal/WBC/WBA/IBF/WBO) in 2004 + likewise defending all the titles 2005 in the middleweight class. Before him no other boxer had managed to do that. And still after all these years, only a few boxers have managed to get all the world title belts and only then in a few weight classes; - Middleweight - Bernard Hopkins (1st overall) - Cruiserweight - Oleksandr Usyk - Super Middleweight - Saul Canelo Alvarez - Light Welterweight - Terence Crawford - Light Welterweight - Josh Taylor

Many styles/techniques have a short window due to often singularly focused on particular attributes such as speed, power, athletic ability & youth.....but in that short time, it may be that they could beat anyone in history....longevity does not necessarily make you a GOAT. & if you can sell ppv, you can manipulate......stack the odds in your favour. SRL, for instance, brilliant & a boxing genius, the sport might only see 2 or 3 people of such talent per decade....but after the first hearns fight, he lost his integrity & paved the way for cynical, cherry picking & ppv cashcows were given free reign to dictate every detail of the match....time in camp, venue, date, gloves, ring size, weight, referee, judges & importantly, the stage in their opponents' career. Mayweather is profoundly skilled, but he cannot objectively be regarded as the GOAT.....IMO, there are many modern era greats who would have beaten him had they met at their prime......JCC, TH, RD, SRL, AA, MH, MC, to name but a few & over 15 rounds, many more.

I’m not sure if anybody else would be interested but I’d love it if you made a video about boxing facts vs fiction. I remember believing for literal years that Mike Tyson was afraid of big George foreman only to find out that this was never the case, I feel like these kinds of rumors ruin a fighters legacy and the boxing lore even in the past 30 years has gotten ridiculous at times making it hard to distinguish between what’s real and what’s a myth. Perfect example is the whole Wilder vs Fury two, where people actually believed so many falsehoods about the fight and some to this day (no pun intended) still believe it.

That Canelo vs Trout decision was painful. Texas is such a horrible state to have big fights in. I don’t know why, but they just love robbing hard working fighters in Texas. One of the judges in the Canelo/Trout fight scored it 118-109 for Canelo, and had him winning 80-71 in the first 8 rounds. WHAT???? I had Canelo barely winning this fight by the skin of his teeth, as did most normal brained individuals.
