This is the thing that most forget is us Samoans living Aussie are all NZ citizens first if not still, as it's not easy moving to Australia directly from Samoa. So wouldn't Jai be NZ citizen by descent? I don't know...... what I do know is Opetaia family all from NZ, has his Grandfather Billy "Tapuloa" Opetaia was a NZ middleweight champion back in the 60s. Aka "William Billy Opetaia" (WBO) that's why Opetaia family has sentimental connection to that belt, Eddie Hearn: "he wants that WBO belt mostly, I'm not sure why he always asked for that belt" Well that's why.
