It's odd that so many boxing pundits lauded Jermaine Taylor's Jab but it was Kelly Pavlik's Jab that did most of the damage to Taylor out of all punches by both fighters. Great fight! 🥊🥊

115-113 Pavlik. It's easy to say "why doesn't boxer X throw more?" unless you've been in there. I found myself spending a lot of time watching judge Patricia Jarman, the lady in the tan jacket directly in the centre of the main shot. She never lost concentration, leaned over to look around the referee or when one fighter blocked her view, and immediately marked the winner of the round without hesitation and handed her card over to the official next to her. That looked proper professional (she also had the fight the same as me, haha!).

Cringe🤡. Fury didn’t need to cheat for Wilder, anyone who knows boxing , has boxed and has seen his fights from the Olympics until now know he is a 1 handed 1 dimensional fighter with no boxing skills. Fury didn’t have to cheat , wilder was tailor made for him. Walk-in did a better job then wilder did , and he wasn’t even top ranked .
@thedhive6512

@@acetofresh1 Even though Fury was banned from boxing for two years for cheating and got put down twice and knocked unconscious by an unskilled boxer. You're honestly making fury look bad. @brandnew9834
@brandnew9834 3 жыл бұрын
@@aarond3641 Yeah agree. When I heard that he was taking on Hopkins, I was like “he’s in trouble”. Hopkins had one of the most brilliant boxing minds of all time, plus he knows all of the old school tricks. I think he and his team thought Hopkins was a shot fighter, not realizing that he had another 5 to 7 years lefts as a top level fighter. Plus I thought that the argument could be made that he won both Taylor fights and the Calzaghe fight. Those were all super close. For Pavlik, the risk wasn’t worth the reward.

@@brandnew9834 Calzaghe fight was clear and correct decision.. I'd say!
@brandnew9834
@brandnew9834 3 жыл бұрын
@@athelstan927 1) It wasn’t a clear decision because it wasn’t a unanimous decision. It was a split decision, and I literally watched Calzaghe himself reflect on that fight saying that he and his team were nervous because they thought that it was a very close fight. 2) Bernard Hopkins scored the only knockdown of the fight. 3) Calzaghe himself in a later interview admitted that Hopkins was a difficult opponent because he didn’t allow Calzaghe to really fight the type of fight he normally does. That’s part of the brilliance of Hopkins, he can take away your strengths. 4) Honestly knowing how a pro fight is scored, I thought Hopkins could’ve been awarded the decision. But I also see how Calzaghe could get the nod too. I respect Calzaghe quite a bit, I like his honesty and his style is exciting to watch. But I have doubts that he could beat the Bernard Hopkins that destroyed Trinidad and De La Hoya.
