Anytime you get knocked down in a fight, the judges don't want to give you the win. It's as though the judges scored it a "5 point round" for Briggs when he knocked down Botha. It's almost impossible to overcome unless you also knock the other guy down at some point in the fight. Judges view knockdowns as the be-all and end-all to boxing.

IMO neither man was physically fit if they were running out of gas towards the end of the fight. I don't care how hard a fighter can punch, he STILL is not fit to a professional athlete if he is THAT Much Out Of Shape. Heavyweights get the most attention and the biggest purses yet, overall, they are least physically fit of all the divisions. The most physically fit, most conditioned fighters are in the lighter divisions but the Gullible Fight Fans still idolize the Heavyweights. That 2 such unphysically fit athletes have compiled so many wins tells you how Flabby the Heavyweight Division really is in general. But as long as the SUCKERS keep on buying tickets, the promoters could care less.
