Received mine today. A little filing required on the right side of the screen so that my black bezel fit without showing a thin silver strip overhanging. Otherwise easy peasy! Nice kit :)

Holding off until the rechargable battery idea is finalized. I'm on board for this....also have to find a DMG that is dead :) but I'm holding out. Just putting in another order for a GBA kit. Can't wait for all the stuff you are doing. PS: Need Red Switch items please! :)

Boxy Pixel, What's the best IPS kit to use for this mod? I initially a GB DMG IPS LCD Q5 OSD - HISPEEDIDO but the right side button clearance was too tight an unable to use the rotation wheel-only able by not fully securing outer shell top screws. Which ISP LCD work best that don't have the button clearance issue.

I'm sorry, I do not recall where I purchased the battery. It's just a generic battery, likely from Alibaba or ebay.

Not a faulty product by any means but I will add. I use well water on my property and I usually play my games after i shower. I notice my brass buttom started to rust / mineralize after I had a couple of uses from it. That's something I can't avoid I do plan on ordering replacement buttkns since I love mine so much. Again I'm not bashing I'm just mentioning it to others if you use well water on your property use some Zephyrhills after you wash up or something lol.

Hello Anthony - If you would like to keep the original sheen of brass, you need to apply a lacquer, clear coat or the best is a clear protectant called protectaclear. You can remove your existing buttons sand/buff back to the original shine as they are solid brass.
