But after all these 40 odd years, I never noticed he lisps. I noticed it in a video he did recently and thought it was because he got his teeth fixed, but no. He's always lisped. That alone bothers me, cos it's so easy to correct. I wonder why he never did?

Remember how in the 80s we waited forever in front of the TV to press record for our favorites to come on and of course it never was the first guest? Like on Carson before someone big they'd first always have on an 8 year old who had an IQ of 180 or some 80 year old granny who holds the world record for arm wrestling. 😤

The part where she asks him if he is seeing anyone special he can't say he's in a relationship with Jon Moss as he was in those days. He wanted to be open about it but that would have been bad for business. I always feel a bit sorry for him he had to keep that a secret.

Well Jon later said that situation (of his having to act a part so much) was partly what caused his problems over time...

He was doing what he'd been told to do (because of how the world was back then), but it obviously turned out not to be worth it in the end!

80s kids saw him as a cartoon character not lifestyle. Putting on act for attention a gimmick or a shtick.
