Even if there are other people around him with seemingly more protagonist-worthy backstories, Xian Yun should've realized that "side character who seems like they ought to be the main character" is a really common trope in its own right. @@RedXlV honestly the stories most connect with, are those where the MC isnt the only hero, and needs those around them, what this brought to mind was how my buddies mom loved that cheese fest show Hercules with Kevin Sorbo, but her favorite character was his sidekick, and i can see why, in his own right, he is a hero, and, unlike the MC, hes not a demigod, just a person... also made me flash on how upset Joss Wheton was over how popular the character Spike became in buffy, because it was ruining his story... to me that is a poor perspective to take, more so after re-watchin the show due to us discussing stuff like this with a friends daughter when she was taking a class in college, we all pretty much agreed that, it could have been handled better, but, part of why people liked spike was, because he went from being an antagonist, to being a genuine friend and ally, showing a redemption arc, but also, he both messed with her, and helped her become stronger, pretending strong people dont need help.. nonsense... some of the strongest people i have known, knew when to ask for help, and when to accept help offered/given/forced on them... sometimes strength is admitting your weaknesses and failings, and accepting that, we all have them.. having people around to balance those out... is what we all on some level want... and infact, need...

I love how they'll "try" to give you the name, but it's wrong and then you have no way of finding it whatsoever. Wanna know what would help us find the source? LINKING IT IN THE COMMENT OR THE DESCRIPTION!! Once you watch enough anime, you can tell which characters are feminine guys and which characters are just girls, but it's definitely an acquired skill. Only one I had significant trouble with was the short red/pink haired guy at the beginning
