There is a kind of sexism in Kpop choreo where they give boy groups more intense and intricate choreo and tend to give girl groups the sort of “girl group dance” stuff. But mamamoo do their own thing usually, you should definitely check out more

Mamamoo gets bagged on by haters for their so-called "simple" choreography, but that seeming simpleness is deceiving. It looks easy because they are (as almost all kpop artists are) very good, very well-trained, and were fairly natural dancers to begin with. Their choreo is effective and appropriate for their songs, and it is always flawlessly executed. Intricate isn't always better.

Kinda feel like you are being rather sexist here instead, it's so often people that try to be "woke" instead puts down anything even slightly feminine. There are tons of hard girl group choreography, it doesn't need to be "aggressive/masculine" for it to be hard. It's extremely easy to look dumb af while doing girl group choreography because you need to be able to move precise while doing it gracefully. Unlike boy group choreography where you can go full throttle to cover any lack of technique to make it look more impressive. That does not mean I'm saying boy groups choreos are easy though, because they aren't. They are much more physically demanding, which kinda makes sense since guys got the stamina/strength to keep that up throughout a full promotion period. Got a bit long sorry about that but I'm so tired of people putting down anything even slightly feminine as bad. I'm also not sure why you are singling out Mamamoo's choreo as something special, they are awesome singers and got some great dancers but their group choreo really doesn't stand out from other groups. Maybe that it's a bit more chill so they can really focus on their vocals which I love. Again that does not mean their choreos are bad, their choreos completely fit their songs and they execute them perfectly.

I don't think you're being accurate here. It's not just choreography that does the trick. A girl group can have "easier" choreography but more complex concept or vocals. So in the end, a good girl group song ends up being just as fascinating. That said, girl group choreos the last 2 years haven't really been/looked easy 😂. ITZY are a good example. The same style or intensity might or might not work for the opposite gender.

The rapper is moonbyul! I really love her tone of voice and flow, she has more of a mature style of rap? If that makes sense? Also mamamoo are the queen of vocals! Super powerful singers, hwasa (short black hair) has a gorgeous sexy voice, like a jazzy style? I really want you to eventually watch a guide because I feel like their talents arent shown enough in the main songs/mvs... I'm exited for you to watch more of them 😅 As for other major songs they have egoistic, gogobebe and starry night Their older songs have a lot of retro/ jazz elements to them, they're still fairly "dancey" (not sure how to word that better but you know what I mean) but definitely worth checking out! Songs such as piano man, decalcomanie and mr ambiguous. I actually prefer a lot of their sidetracks but I'll mention those later in your mmm reactions.

If you would like to get to them a little better i would recommend a introduction quide called "introducing mamamoo" it is worth reacting to. They are amazing dancers especially moonbyul and wheein as they are the performers of mamamoo but you will soon find out that they are the absolute vocal queens and most of their music videos don't showcase just how amazing their vocals are so for that i would reccomend you to also react to their "immortal song medley" you will be pleasantly surprised. you should react to eclipse - moonbyul’s eclipse mv !! you will definitely enjoy the choreography as it is of a more bg powerful aggressive style bc she didn’t want to be restricted by typical gender norms. the style/concept for 'eclipse' was something that she's been wanting to do for ages. she said that she didn’t want a line dividing "feminine" & "masculine" music. she’s always been going against gender norms - wearing traditional male hanbok, putting men on leashes in her performances, wearing suits from day one and her iconic cover of tvxq !! the whole group rlly defies society norms tbh. they actively fight sexism, beauty standards, gender norms and they fight for lgbtq+ rights. they also promote self love, not giving a fuck about the haters and just doing what they want, etc. they’re amazing role models!! even in the latest solo comeback from solar 🥺

And if you want some sexy empowered women stuff, Egotistic should be your go-to MV. They do ballads, jazz, argh they do everything, all members have distinct styles. One thing I love about Mamamoo is how experimental they are with music. For your taste I would recommend the whole melting album which is their first full album and is full of gems. I dont think I’ve ever heard an album in kpop quite like it before. I would also definitely recommend a couple of solos from the group members, wheein’s easy and hwasa’s don’t.
