Good & bad news…you told me about the bender board for an accent wall. But, nobody sells it…maybe pandemic…who knows. But, this project helped me bc you showed me how to cut my thick MDF with my circular saw. I don’t have a table saw. Brought the tool to help with straight cuts. But, I think your technique is better. Love your work, persistence, design, etc. A million Thanks for showing us how things should be done & mistakes are allowed & how to fix them. Love your son’s reaction !! Gosh learned so much on this project….how to frame windows, how to trade out those horrible sliding doors !! You are awesome!!

The room turned out great! Everything seems like it was chosen with him in mind and the window came out beautifully. I am curious why you never add crown molding? I'm just wondering because my home is similar to yours and maybe there's a practical or aesthetic reason?

Thanks! I’m actually not a huge fan of crown. For this specific house, the ceilings are only 8 ft. In the rest of the rooms, the walls and ceiling are the same color which is supposed to be better for low ceilings. Crown draws your eye to the top of the wall, which I don’t want to emphasize due to lack of height. Hope this makes sense.
