This is an excellent story. The MC is confident without being arrogant. The side kicks are not as strong or informed as the MC, but they are not stupid weaklings. Everyone, including the MC, are growing. The only con to this is, as others have mentioned, the inconsistent he/she. I lost count of how many times they changed the designation 3 or more times in one sentence.

The he she, he she, that keeps happening is more an issue of the translation. The characters often gendered by how they look to the reader. You learn that from manga, because people from Japan don't really use those gender prefixes or he she. And in some of these translations they may use a robotic voice but sometimes it's the microphones fault, I know that in some of them if you pay attention you can hear the person recording errors, if the computer was reading an editor's mistake verbatim, there wouldn't be an I meant and then the correction, the translator just would have edited the text version. And not left it in the translation. 😊
