This is from what I can tell the smallest wireless lav mic kit for use with DSLR, Mobile or camcorders that there is!
The transmitter and receiver are only a fraction larger than a AA battery and the whole kit comes in a very nice hard case that also doubles up as a charging station for the mic and receiver giving you that always ready kit whilst out and about.
There is a small downside to this portability and that is the tech inside has to be very small and the gain on the mic is a little low, and the bluetooth transmission does appear to have a slight lag.
This can be easily fixed in post production but for certain live broadcasts this could be more challenging.
Where this set really shines is for those that are active when filming their content, either climbing or exercising, jogging etc this lightweight lav mic will be a massive improvement over the phone or cameras built in mic and will get you up close and personal without actually having to be.
Not a perfect kit, but for those with the specific needs it really could be a game changer.

it really depends on your usage. the WM4 is a more robust option and doesn't have the issue of a the slight lag that is present in the WM3, so if 100 sync is something you need then the WM4 or 6 would be better but they are also much much larger devices

I know Shure and Rode as good microphone brands, never heard of this boya, are they well known? The fact that you said a previous one died is a red flag, perhaps you could tell us about such brands, how long they have been around, what nationality, where made etc. My 2p.

Hi Chris, yes Boya have been around a number of years and in general offer decent performance for usually a lot less than the competition, the one i broke was my fault it was wired and i ran over the cable with my chair and stood up and ripped the cable out, totally my fault and i have been doing it for nearly 4 years but this time it was the stand that broke the boyas back sadly. As with most items they are mostly made in China or Taiwan.
