Yes it is quite new. Much like the original BY-PM500 which has been around for years, but with the addition of wireless. I have contacted AGK to see if they will send me one to review. I quite like it too. Would be great to get my hands on it and test it out to see how it compares.

How about its sound quality compared to Thronmax Mdrill One? Which one do you prefer?

If I had to pick between the two I would go the Mdrill One. In terms of the audio fidelity the Mdrill one seems to have better bass sound and less sibilance. So without any EQ sounds a little better. The Boya PM500 seems to be EQ'd with a bias on the top end. Perhaps it sounds a little thinner too. In terms of signal to noise ratio they are pretty much the same on wired mode. The boya does give you the advantage of being able to use it wirelessly so if that is a factor that is important to you the Boya is still a good choice.

This is really cool. Definitely, will consider it when I have some more money to upgrade my setup for my YT videos. Right now I'm using the BOYA M1 Lavalier Mic. You mentioned about an adapter to connect to apple iPhone. I wanted to record my voiceovers using my USBc IPad Pro. But having issues connecting. Thoughts on that, also still a noob. Should I be recording to wav or mp3. I think read somewhere wav is better

The adapter I mentioned was for a usb microphone its the apple lighting to usb adapter. For an iPad pro which has USB C you should be able to use a USB C cable on both ends with this mic. For other mics that have USB Type A you would just need a usb C to usb A adapter for your ipad. For your M1 if it has a 3.5 audio cable, you just need a USBC to 3.5 audio cable which you can get from the Apple store.

I'm trying to decide whether a shotgun mic is better for me or something like this mic in the video or like the blue yeti. What is your overall thoughts on what I should decide based on. Sorry for all the questions

@@Laterverse It really does depend on what type of production and environment you are in. The easiest mics to work with that will give you the best sound in all situations are lav mics such as the ones you get in the Rode Wireless II. A good shotgun if positioned correctly will often sound as good if not better and you don't see it in the frame when shooting video. A studio condenser or desktop USB type mic often has better clarity and overall quality due to the size of the condensers etc. The rest will have to do with the environment, how much reverb in the room etc. If you are podcasting the sound a Blue Yeti is going to sound the best. If you are mostly doing KZbin videos etc then you might feel freer with a lav mic or shotgun mic as it can be less distracting in the scene and if you move around a bit on set a lav mic in particular will give you that freedom.
