he was the only guy on our defense who somewhat consistantly could shed a block and get to the runner. hope he can develop his pass rush a little until next year, then he has the potential to become a quality starter

In a 3/4 the powerful DE's main responsibility is holding the edge and stopping the run. Your got 4 LBS to rush the passer. I 'd draft Bryan Bresse, who is a 300 pd tackle with enough quickness and agility to line up outside the tackle and provide a rush.

The future is bright for this guy. Probably the best edge in pass coverage for Seattle which isn't saying much but his run stopping was always his strong suit. Get his bag of pass rushing moves filled up and we got something cooking. I think he'll be starting next season

Im looking forward to him hopefully locking down the opposite side to Uchenna Nwosu. He has the size and can run defend. Just got to grow his pash rush.

Hopefully the sophomore jump comes into play for him. Solid player, want to see more instinctive play. Was a bit hesitant rookie year. Need more speed to diagnose, then commit.

He looks so natural shedding blocks. He’s why I don’t want to draft a first round edge defender. I think his boss rush will be better next year.

Not sure why old man Bruce Irvin was starting over Mafe the second half of the season, those were valuable reps for a young player

I think it was just the rotation, and Mafe may have been nursing an injury

I hope he gets more snaps and we need to start rotating more in the D line to keep players fresh kinda like what we did back in them LOB days

He was coming on at the end of the season, so I'd expect the NFL game will slow down for him in his 2nd year - get the sophomore bump instead of slump. Looking forward to seeing him develop.

We got a great defense, we just need to work on it a little bit more. With the draft picks we have now, we can use them to work on defense. We have a amazing offense, defense needs work
