these people scare tf out of me ngl they are real life sociopath who project their entire personality on these artists - I don't expect people to not sing along at all because of course it's a concert and it's kind of spontaneous but to me these people who scream and shout all they really want is to be noticed, it's all about themselves and nothing about the artist they're seeing, let alone respecting other people around them. I love Lana and her show was one of the most horrific concert experiences I have ever lived. I was surrounded by 15 yo pretend-coquette girls and twinks screaming into their phones and recording the entire show like what are you even doing here? It's so pathetic.

​@@tommasosilvestroThe last time Lana was in my town, it was standing room only at a really tiny venue so scalpers quickly jacked the prices up from $50 to $300 so I didn't go. Those that did had the same experience as you though. I would've been livid.

I can certainly see how it can be very annoying, but at the same time, I've seen so many artists put out some truly great performances, only to face a completely uninterested, tepid crowd. I remember the YT video of Bob Mould playing "Descent" (Live at Rock the Garden) back in 2013, and that crowd, was just, "ah, ok. not bad". And it was one of his greatest new songs, and it was a killer performance by a man who was in his 50's at the time. If I were an artist on stage, I'd much rather have Boygenius's/Phoebe's audience.

I looked up this song because I like it, and though "hey, maybe I should go and see them if I have the chance". NOPE. If girls are going to make me deaf during the concert, then that's a no-go.
