I believe that the bits that ping off go so fast they disappear into another dimension. I think there is a dimension somewhere full of bits of kits we have all lost. 😁

When cutting parts from the sprue, hold the part itself in place and cut the sprue free. The sprue isn't going to go far, and you don't lose the piece. Source: 50 years worth of building plastic kits.

I just took a stroll down memory lane, so to speak. After watching this amazing video, i went back and watched your very first KZbin video. Then i started scrolling from your first to your latest in your videos list. Bro you have made so much improvement in ALL areas of your content. You sir are an amazing artist. Being able to literally follow your timeline of videos thereby watching you improve your content in real time is just off the chain! Thank you so much for sharing your passions with us. As a long time fan of your Imaginary Wild West series, you have no idea how hyped I was when you started doing Gundam stuff. Building Bandai kits is probably my favorite hobby and seeing you take these kits above and beyond has been a huge inspiration! Great work!
@thomasohanlon106015 күн бұрын
I like the fact that you build so many different types of things. You don’t limit yourself too a single type or period of history. A great video. A hint when removing small pieces from the sprue, take a pice of masking tape to hold it in place. To hold it cut one anchor point free from the sprue then tape part to sprue then cut the part free no more flying small key parts.

Small tip as a prop maker for masking/taping: First, before you apply it, put in on your pant leg or similar. This allows it to collect a bit of dust etc on it and makes it less sticky (i know, sounds counter-productive) and risk ripping paint off. If you want to not have the risk of feathering with the airbrush or bleeding, you can spray a bit of varnish over it before you paint. Second, when peeling the paint off, do it at a 45-90° angle from the direction of the tape. NEVER peel upwards because thats exactly how you tear off paint. The side motion allows the paint to "grip" better on the surface and has less risk of peeling off with the tape on it. The fiber sparks really add a lot, it was a good choice to put them it i think!

I love your builds and watch all of your videos. I feel like the bases are often too small and make the scene feel cramped, though I would also imagine making numerous dioramas takes up a lot of space too! I just feel (if space allowed) more of an edge around the perimeter of the base would serve as a border, frame the scene nicely and add to the composition of the piece. Love from Australia.
