Love this song; I have for years and years. Sadly, in the United States, seven-digit dialing is on its way out, so we need to update this song. Just add a verse about how the North American Numbering Plan Administration has mandated ten-digit dialing starting on July 16 2022, but with the added bonus that "988" will be a special reserved number for the suicide prevention line. I'm sure it will be a smash hit.

Your comment is very funny, when thinking they are a German Band and 7 digits are known here as very knew numbers or a "land-line number" for your cell you can get with your mobile phone plan here in Germany. So people can call your cell, but only need to pay the normal amount for a land-line (and that normally is free, we only pay a monthly installation fee) So 7 digits are normally numbers of young people, students with only a cell phone or knew built houses. So people around 20-35 maybe.

@@marthacecille591 That is really interesting! But in the US, yes, it was entirely normal to call someone using exactly seven digits if they are near, until recently. There is even a famous song "867-5309", which in the song is the number of a girl named Jenny. Unfortunately, there were people whose phone number actually WAS 867-5309, and that song caused them a lot of trouble.

Krasses Beispiel, wie subjektiv die Musikbranche ist. Nicht falsch verstehen, alles ist im Grunde subjektiv, wenn der Mensch entscheidet.
