Actually Danger G group were the left over trainees and nobody wanted to take the main vocal role. Chen Yu Geng (with the headband) already had center so couldn’t really be the main vocalist as well…so yeah that was the reason behind the part distribution.

New sub here love this content! About mnet releasing the fancam before the episode 4, it's because of voting & popularity. Fans were actually upset that they didn't upload everyone's fancam at the same time because the trainees from the earlier episodes would have more exposure for people to vote for them. It didn't help that after Episode 4 airs, the voting would be closed. In previous seasons w/ girls planet, they uploaded everyone at the same time so that it would be fair so most were upset that it was uploaded late lmao. Also yeah the amount of voice cracks that happened in most teams hurts.

a lot of korean and intl fans were pressuring mnet to release the fancams early for voting reasons, the episode aired just a few hours before the voting ending, so people were mad that a lot of trainee would be in disadvantage

Yeah, because his throat was not in good condition so he chose to keep the original note. I was happy the most when he chose to change the high note because that shows the fact he thought professionally about this cover mission : “to make the song his own and make it different”, not to copy everything straight from EXO.
