the reason why people are feeling like it’s similar to kpop is because of Blackpink specifically. Dez Soliven is one of the choreographers of Boys World and is based in la, based in the same studio as Kyle Hanagami, who is the choreographer for Blackpink. They run in similar groups, similar styles, and have a lot of similar dancers that frequent both choreographers. I’m not gonna lie, some of the moves here are straight out of some of Blackpinks choreo, but it’s also some of the most basic and standard dance moves in hip hop / pop dance. Not saying one is superior than the other, it’s just that we’ve seen some of this stuff before, especially when it’s from one of the biggest Kpop groups like blackpink. Yea you’re gonna have some comparisons.
