I find it fascinating how the Philippine Boy Loves have never, ever, shied away from this Covid thing but have featured it in so many of their Boy Loves and how it has been effecting life in general, while the Thai Boy Loves have acted like it does not even, exist, even, now. The difference in attitudes from two different countries. So I'm watching this almost, a year later from the events depicted, according to the calendar on this guy's dorm room wall. Just an observation, correct me if I'm wrong of course Thailand's BL gets its inspiration from Japanese Yaois which was its original source material, meaning it tends to be very fantasy like and disconnected from real life situations which serves for good sweet stories without the need for realistic contexts essentialy paving its way easily to the world stage but on the other hand outshines and deliberately pushes LGBTQ isssues under the rug to make way for money. E.g you get plots where LGBTQ issues are never really discussed and with actors that don't even support the LGBTQ community. Filipino BL's on the other hand have very down to earth situations and most of the time are realistic in nature. It also stems from the fact that the PH already had LGBTQ issues depicted in mainstream national television or sometimes is the main plot of the story which made "BL's" being adoped in the PH actually be odd since it's very unrealistic. The already rooted realistic LGBTQ plots plus the overseas BL essentially mixed to form what is called "Filipino BL". It's also the reason why Filo BL's are very different in nature from Thai, Japanese, Korean BL and as a consequence is sometimes irked by international viewers.
