The song talks about quitting addictions/changing your life, this is why he was smoking (tobacco-free cigarette, he doesn't smoke) at the start of the Video, and them he decided to fight against it and live in the right way, if i can say that. You can realize it at the chorus Then the stars in the sky light my bedroom" (Something outside made him realize something inside him was wrong.) "Flashing words on the walls and my head too" (The first ideas of wanting to get out of that.) "I'm alive but I can't live without you" (Thinking he can't live any other way than the way he is now.) "And the thoughts in my head run in circles" (Wondering if he really wants to change.) "And the sheets in my bed turned to purple" (Deciding to change.) "I'm alone but I know that I won't do, nothing to hold you back" (It's hard, but now he's sure he doesn't want to live that way again) This song is very personal to him because it represents his last months since he wasn't happy making those Pop generic songs and using the mask, he got depressed, broke up with his girlfriend, and when he was producing Bad Thinks he thought that would never sing that song in a concert... but then he Decided to change, he didn't cared if he was going to lose money, or fame, he just wanted to be happy, so he stopped using the mask and Left his label. He told us this information in a concert some time ago, and in his words "it got so much better" (This audio is in the mv) So im personally happy for him! Alot of fans have already complained about the change and everything but they're usually the younger ones. Me personally I like his new style even more, i feel like i was almost growing out of his old music and now I feel like his music currently is what I want to listen to. looks like i’m a bit late, but i really dislike this song. i’ve seen people explain that the song is about escaping addictions, but with all of the cryptic lyrics this could be interpreted as anything. it’s also really hard to make out any of the lyrics cuz he mumbles and the background music is so loud and overtaking of the song. i respect him for making stuff he likes, but this change is not something i really enjoy :/

I'll be straight up honest this song is a somewhat of a change in him like you guys said about growing up to adulthood and honestly I don't truly support this fast change in him but it's his work of art or something that represents who he is in general we can't control of who should he be but just saying once more I don't truly support it. He turned from this young mellow somewhat shy kid or teen that writes songs about his lovelife or personal feelings to this more mature, fast words, more vibey tone, and still there's the essence of bwu sense of sadness or depression of getting over this girl he is attracted to. My comment to the cigarettes it's a wild card or a spice up to his songs but tbh it really shouldn't be part of it and as like you guys bwu has some young audiences and speaking of which I wish he put a reminder on that vid the smoking is bad or whatever. The new changes he did could just stem of his thinking that his songs are repetitive (Im not lying it kinda is especially in getting over or falling in love) or he just got inspired by other singers to just spicen things up. My point is the song represents a revolution of his standards and in the end I do support this kind of vibe and change. I wish to hear more music of bwu that isn't romance but more of something else.
