@ I disagree. He puts so much passion into it, and the production is significantly better than in his previous projects. This album specifically focuses on his breakups, literally with his girlfriend and figuratively with the boywithuke persona. As such, it makes sense why the songs are more somber, even while still containing compelling lyrics and an energetic vibe in many of the songs. Long pauses are few in the album, with progression or even regression of the beat happening inside of all the songs. While this album may be his least popular, this is because the style of music here is much different than in his older ukulele songs. He is moving away from the pop-esque style and more towards indie/rock. He might still make poppy songs, but I HIGHLY doubt to the extent of before. In my opinion, he has had a fall off in popularity, but not in amazing (in my opinion) music. It may not be for everyone, but it is emotionally stirring and powerful, especially within the last few songs. I hope you understand my disagreement, this is quite a bit of a yap for a comment.
