I miss R&B and having our black men who could sing. Now it seems it’s mostly rappers coming up. There are very few mainstream ones left with great voices and most of them are older guys who started back in the 90s and 2000s which shows the direction things are headed. Of course you can find some younger ones here and there but not like it used to be. In the 90s the charts were loaded with them. I guess it’s just the decline in popularity for R&B overall but I miss it.

The vast majority of young black artists want to be rappers instead. It’s a dying group. And I love rap. It just a shame it’s not more of a mixture like it used to be.
