Consequently, Boyz II Men is among the music industry's elite with regard to time spent at number one in Billboard history with 50 cumulative weeks, ranking sixth behind Drake, the Beatles, Rihanna, Elvis Presley and Carey. Furthermore, when "On Bended Knee" took the number one spot away from "I'll Make Love to You", Boyz II Men became only the third artists ever (after the Beatles and Presley) to replace themselves at the top of the Billboard Hot 100.[4] These achievements were enough to earn Boyz II Men recognition as Billboard magazine's biggest boy band during the period of 1987 to 2012.[5] Boyz II Men has received four Grammy Awards.

That, and the optimism of the 90s as a youth. If you were growing up in America / Canada in the late 80s / early 90s, and you weren't poor, the world was mind-blowing and amazing. I loved the Americans the most, I just thought American people were incredible. America seemed so advanced compared to us in Canada for so long. There was peace in the world, the media wasn't weaponized 24/7, it was just before the internet. Life was simpler. This song embodies that perfectly, bless these men.

People came out for an intermission, saw we were having more fun than they were, got invited to the wedding party, I started dancing on the dance floor by myself listening to the live band. Next thing you know, I was dragging everyone on the dance floor. Long story short, I got the party started...hahaha! Didn't even know the people! Nohemi Rivera yes most definitely. I turned 13 in 1991 so I remember the 90s well. spent lots of time on MTV, 120 minutes with music only, AMP with techno music. I listened to it all. I appreciated it all. this song was huge back in the day. Also group bands like this was popular thing too. late 90s were great up until 2002ish. R&B late 90s early 00s was great. today's music isn't that great. it's more looks than talent, don't get me wrong there is talent. A pimpled faced fat guy isn't going to sell lol
