Consequently, Boyz II Men is among the music industry's elite with regard to time spent at number one in Billboard history with 50 cumulative weeks, ranking sixth behind Drake, the Beatles, Rihanna, Elvis Presley and Carey. Furthermore, when "On Bended Knee" took the number one spot away from "I'll Make Love to You", Boyz II Men became only the third artists ever (after the Beatles and Presley) to replace themselves at the top of the Billboard Hot 100.[4] These achievements were enough to earn Boyz II Men recognition as Billboard magazine's biggest boy band during the period of 1987 to 2012.[5] Boyz II Men has received four Grammy Awards.

I lived through the 1990s and witnessed a generation of music never to be repeated...but that's also true of every decade and generation. 1950s music will never be repeated. 60s, 70s, 80s... In the 2060s there will be middle-aged people who think fondly about 2020s music because it will always remind them of their childhood.

@@posysdogovych2065 exactly, as I was listening to this I just realized how many groups in Philly burst out from 86-93 in all genres. Then when looking at some other acts, Philly is on parwith, San Francisco, Memphis, Detroit, new Orleans for their respective music scenes across all genres and races, and still produce local talent.

That, and the optimism of the 90s as a youth. If you were growing up in America / Canada in the late 80s / early 90s, and you weren't poor, the world was mind-blowing and amazing. I loved the Americans the most, I just thought American people were incredible. America seemed so advanced compared to us in Canada for so long. There was peace in the world, the media wasn't weaponized 24/7, it was just before the internet. Life was simpler. This song embodies that perfectly, bless these men.

In the UIK Boyz To Men are revered as well as in Australia. In fact a couple of years ago they were on a UK Talk Show where they promoted a CD doing interpretations of other people's Songs, and they serenaded the Co-Host Angela Griffin with their version of "Open Arms' by Journey and the poor woman almost lost it. In fact everytime a Boy Band auditions on the X Factor Shows they almost always talk about how Boyz To Men influenced Them. They also are big fans of American R & B like Harmonizin Homeiz and they've done Cover Version of Philly Soul Songs

I played this song for a dear friend of mine who was from Philly in 2016 at a bar that was dead. I started dancing, he was loving it! Funny thing was there happened to be a wedding in the adjacent banquet room they had. People came out for an intermission, saw we were having more fun than they were, got invited to the wedding party, I started dancing on the dance floor by myself listening to the live band. Next thing you know, I was dragging everyone on the dance floor. Long story short, I got the party started...hahaha! Didn't even know the people! He passed away December of 2019, but I play this song in remembrance of one of the funnest, best times of our lives! RIP Grover, love and miss you dearly!!!

Nohemi Rivera yes most definitely. I turned 13 in 1991 so I remember the 90s well. spent lots of time on MTV, 120 minutes with music only, AMP with techno music. I listened to it all. I appreciated it all. this song was huge back in the day. Also group bands like this was popular thing too. late 90s were great up until 2002ish. R&B late 90s early 00s was great. today's music isn't that great. it's more looks than talent, don't get me wrong there is talent. A pimpled faced fat guy isn't going to sell lol

I grew up in ‘70’s and ‘80’s. My mom gave me an appreciation for music by playing different genres. So I listened to Elvis, John Denver, Bobby Vinton, and I could go on forever, and even though ‘70’s and ‘80’s are my favorites I even appreciate the ‘90’s! Boys to Men was one of my favorite go to bands when o wanted some dance music. I am so glad I came across this gem today!❤

These men will always be my favorite R&B group. There is not one bad song they sang. I wish they were still making music.
