I know your videos dont replace my book but they sure demonstrate clearer concepts in addition to examples I can relate to. You sure make learning more fun and it doesnt make me want to fall asleep. I second this answer. The ploidy level (the number of duplicate chromosomes) doesn't change when the chromosomes replicate. Many organisms (mostly plants) do have many copies of each chromosome, though. Wild strawberries can have 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, or 9 copies depending on the species. Aside from this slip-up, though, this is a great video that really makes the contrast between mitosis and meiosis clear.

After Meiosis I the daughter cells are reduced to haploid. While there are still 2 sister chromatids in each cell, they have been separated from their homologous pair and thus reducing the ploidy from diploid to haploid. Thus by your illustration we would start with 2n=4 --> then become 2n=8 when the chromosomes duplicate and then into 2, n=4, cells after Meiosis I which would result in the four haploid cells each n=2 after Meiosis II
