Nah, can’t be. Our gov is telling us we have enough jobs and companies are hiring but we ‘refuse’ to work 😂😂😂

Its the global workforce not just the British workforce. BP are just bumping up their share price. Clearly workers are just chess pieces.

BP have lost further revenue due to the North Sea oil and gas well being shut down earlier. There biggest expense is manpower! So naturally they are going to cut their largest expense. Before braking their commitment to the shareholders

In 2023 they made 11 billion profit after tax and had 33 billion cash in the bank or equivalent. At the same time, they owed 63 billion to their suppliers and have long term debt of 48 billion dollars for 2023. That means they that means they need to find around 60 billion in cash just to pay off their debts for 2023. Profits doesn't mean they're in a good financial position

Just in time to announce dividend pay-out for the coming year. might be a good year $8 per share right now and were paying 8 cents per share last year.

£11billion profit at the end of 2023 and similar 2024. 3rd quarter 24 alone was £3.2 billion profit .

Your missing the point. They owed 66 billion to their suppliers and other payables at the end of 2023 as well as being in long term debt by 43 billion dollars. And they only have 33 billion in cash reserves. That'd a deficit of 33 billion dollars. Whilst owning 43billion dollars in loans
