thanks for the good explanation, I have a problem with this chip, when it's in battery mode, the laptop will randomly crash, and sometimes crash the system when booting, but if the adaptor is plugged in and charging, the system will be stable all the time.

Very informative and well explained sir. Namaste, I am of your FAN. Request you to inform about the compatibility of these two mosfets(input switch) because when the 1st/2nd mosfet shorted, then other same type mosfet doesnt matches there. Waiting for yor reply.

Hello friend, Thank you for your comment. You are right, not all MOSFETs are compatible with each other. We cannot install a P-Channel MOSFET in place of an N-Channel MOSFET. If you are installing the same type of MOSFET, for example, an N-Channel to replace an N-Channel, then the amperage rating should be considered. Replacing a high-amperage MOSFET with one of lower amperage may cause the board to fail sooner, as the new MOSFETs won't be able to handle the motherboard's high power demands. This can lead to severe damage, including the MOSFET welding itself to the board or burning the board layers due to extreme heat.

Hello, can you maybe assist where to look when the battery charging voltage "without or with battery" at connector pin is 8v but i know checking another "laptop" it should be 12.6v....
@FixTronics6 ай бұрын
Hi friend The battery must speak with the EC chip through the SMBUS before it can charge. So the battery has to be connected in order for you to see its voltage going up. Make sure you have a good non locked non burnt fuse, battery.

nyc illustration but convince me how the BQ chip will produce the BATDRV signal to allow the 14 or 12v from battery reach the 19v power rail..remember the charger is unplugged😒😒,,Am ur student and now is question time
@FixTronics8 ай бұрын
Hi friend Thanks for your comment I actually made a mistake when I said BATDRV has 25v, its 6v more than battery voltage so if the battery has 12v the BATDRV should output 18v so 6v more than battery voltage Thanks for reminding me. I will make a short video soon to correct it.. Again thanks
