What I notice is that is better to pay good money for iem with more than 1 driver. I notice that iem with 1 dd is better from 50 bucks to 100 bucks. A 50 bucks iem single dd the driver costs 5 dollars. Great for medium volumes ,when you crank then the driver spits distortion like hell unless its a 13 to 15mm dd. A 8 mm dd needs to be good to support volumes. So when we pay 100 bucks for a 3 or 4 drivers then is like having 3 to 4 , 5 bucks drivers inside. No point to spend that money with many cheap drivers. The simgot 1000 has a good driver that does not break. But the m6 starts to break. So in my opinion better 1 dd up to 100 bucks. I have a friend that replaced the driver of the quintet for a 120 dollars dd. And the sound changed like a boss

hey Akros if you had to choose a set between the wind vs Penon Fan 2 which one would you pick and why?

Hi....they are very different .....wind is brighter set, with more forward mids while Fan 2 is more neutral , more chilled. Wind has more bass although with the energy of the mids and highs you don't perceive them to be as strong as they are. Fan 2 is a very balanced set where nothing is boosted making it good for Jazz....classic, as opposed to more energetic genres that the Wind can do.

@@akros9333 damn I'm more into hip hop rap, rock and rnb. I know energy might seem more appropriate but i hate thinning sound. Even if i prefer Forward vocals I'd take a more balanced organic sound with vocals that have good presentation and weight. I'm eager to buy the Fan 2 but this review got me reconsidering. Which one would you say has better tuning, tonality and soundstage?
