BR-52 , BR-41 , BR-01 and BR-86 are my favorite locomotives , they were the backbone of Deutsche Reichbahn during WW2

The locomotives in the 3rd Reich were greatly simplified variants of the 50 series, the so-called ÜK (Übergangs-Kriegslok / transitional war locomotive) and also the 52 series, which were built in large numbers and ran throughout Europe for decades after the war. Best regards from Swabia.

The class 50's were designed prior to WW2. If you want a Kriegslokomotive, look at the class 52's. They're literally everywhere around Europe. Hell Bosnia still uses them. Plus the people preserving this stuff ain't for glorifying war They're literally here because they like trains. Live steam is literally a common hobby around the world. No need to act like a Twitter user about it. Unless if you want to, I doubt anyone will listen to a rant about how German Train Enthusiasts are Nazis

Eine schöne Erinnerung: Ich habe Anfang bis Mitte der 90er Jahren in Riedheim/Günzburg gewohnt und einen regen Kontakt mit einem Eisenbahnfreund unterhalten der unbedingt eine Baureihe 50 zzgl. Umbauwagen in 7 1/4 bauen wollte. Ich habe ihn mit Unterlagen soweit bei mir Vorhanden de facto fast erschlagen. Hauptsache ist das es allen Beteiligten viel Spass bereitet hat. Man erwägte sogar zeitweise eine Kleinserie von bis zu 5 Stück.Was daraus geworden ist entzieht sich meiner Kenntnis. Falls es keine Verwechlung ist, bin ich über das Ergebnis gleichwohl sehr erfreut. Servus & Gehabt euch Wohl

That's a Br 50, these are basically War trains. Hitler used this train for his private train from 1938 to 1943, he stopped using it in 44 becuase American and British forces were coming. Soon we have the train in museums

was du auf der Heizerseite siehst ist nicht die Luftpumpe sondern die Speisepumpe (Wasserpumpe).Das ist in der Regel bei allen DB-Lok´s so. Bei der bayer.S 3/6 und der bad.IV h konnten beide Pumpen auch auf der linken Seite (Heizerseite) angebaut sein.

Hmm. Es ist zu groß für ein Spielzeug aber zu klein für eine ähm... dampflok. Warum ist die so "klein“

Große Dampfloks gibt es nur wenige und der unterhalt ist zu teuer . Hiermit hat man eine schöne Größe wo man der Lok beim fahren nicht nur zuschauen , sondern sich auch als Lokführer fühlen kann . Wobei wir hier auch schon von einem mittelklasse Wagen reden . Es gibt einfache Akku-lok Bausätze die ca bei 600€ anfangen , für eine kleine Dampflok werden ab 2000€ fällig . Eine voll ausgebaute Moba kann aber auch schnell 10.000€ und mehr verschlingen , und brauch mehr platz .Hobby ist halt Hobby .

Ich sehe sie immer nur fahren. Aber bisher sah ich kein einzigen Film für das Drumherum. Muß man eine Prüfung ablegen wegen dem Druck? Muß die Lok zum TÜV? Sind das Bausätze? Wenn ein ferngesteuerter Bagger etwa Sieben Tausend Euro kostet, könnte eine Lok 25 Tausend oder 30 Tausend Euro kosten - wäre das Realistisch? Wenn Leute auf den Waggons sitzen wie muß man versichert sein? Solche Fragen wären interessant. Im Deutschen Musem ist ein Bild von einer Lok die wegen zu wenig Wasser explodierte, das Blech ist platt wie gewälzt.

I think you're mistaking the Class 50 with the Class 52 which were built during WW2. The 52 was a bit more of a simplified varient of the 50's which came out pre-ww2
