Very clever song about 1950's pin-up girl Bettie Page. Just saw Chuck Mead and His Grassy Knoll Boys at McMenamins Edgefield Oktoberfest in Troutdale, Oregon 9/29/19, and his voice hasn't aged a day in the past 30 years.

Fell in love with them the first time I heart "Cherokee Boogie" on the radio ... this cut is from their "Live at Robert's" EP ... got all their CD's .. even saw them live once in an SRO performance at Tramp's bar in NYC .... their opening act was some unknown Australian guitar player name Keith Urban, with his band, The Ranch.

Of course we're a bit partial as Gary Bennett is our hometown boy made good & we're pretty proud, he lives right up the street and plays regularly here around town these days with his band the Coat tail riders, has a home studio and is recording regularly right here in our little town of Cougar Wa. Wow, it's so interesting to see members of Bob Dylan's touring band in a relaxed setting, actually having fun. When they're with Bob, they look at him and will only go as far as he lets them. It's very intense, but Dylan's presence is always overwhelming.
