You cannot see it like that. The hybrid is not there to make it faster it is there to be as fast as without it while being officially much better in terms of emissions.

It might have a lot of drag and rolling resistance for the hp, but it did look like he lifted or hit a limiter as it moved nicely up to that.

Car exporter here. When i asked mercedes in sindelfingen back in 2023 about msrp price AMG S63 e perf COC paper they are playing with numbers depending how much money clients wanna spend. They tried to sell me an S63e AMG with a non AMG drivers package along with steel brakes and rotors (not carbon ceramic) for 260k inc VAT. Then i got an S63 full specs and guess what. Coc paper HOCHE GESCHWINDIGKEIT=290km/h WITH AMG DRIVER PACK. Fully loaded. I dont know what mercedes is doing. So strange tbh. When i pay for AMG drivers package i want to use every single inch of speedometer. 😥

I bet on my vehicle papers that it doesn't push 1500nm on the dyno, simply absolutely cap the AMG/Brabus factory specifications. 6.8-7.5 sec. for over 900hp, even for the weight that's disappointing , like a normal old c63 stage 1 🥴

E63 had far less weight. Also I feel as though the hybrid systems slightly hinders S63S combined power figures at higher speeds. I’ve driven a 18 S63 and in terms of acceleration compared to this, the 18’ does not seem to be too far off in acceleration.

Think you mixet some numbers. A mclaren 720s does 0-200 in 7.1. 200 hp less but also 2000kg less. Don’t think it’s possible for a big car like the s class to do it under 10 sec stock

@@JKV. just saw the video. And a bunch of others as well regarding 0-200 times for s63. And I really don’t think it’s stock. Yes I know the guy in the video says it’s stock. But it’s the only s63 that does under 10 sec 0-200 stock. Even Mercedes says it does over 10 sec. So I’ll remain skeptical.

@@divios1 We test drived in Finland From Veho ( selling mercedes ) Stock gt63se 839hp and S63se. We got 9--10s with gt63se and s63se. but after few launch. We got 8.39s on dragy 0-200kmh. s63se

@@JKV. yes i believe the gt63 se can do under 10 sec, it’s quoted at 9.1. But still don’t believe a s63 can do it, the 8.39 is faster the a 911 turbo s. And there’s no way a heavy ass car like the s63se is faster to 200 stock, so my guess is the sales person lied about it being stock.

Brabus has a much better naming scheme than Mercedes themselves nowadays. Actually relevant.. MB should use that too. Since it will still resemble the old naming scheme of engine volume. And mean something still relevant. And why do they put this fake computer game engine sound into cars?? When you plaid games as a kid you kinda wished the engine sounds were more real.. Now its the opposite lol. They put the fake computer sound into real cars instead. Sounds atrocious. Its not how an actual real life V8 sounds.

@@doug_1489 Yes there is a max amount of hp per square inch pipe if you dont want the engine to be strangled. So you either increase pipe size or put more of them. But increasing size has problems. Like droning noice and ground clearance. That's why you generally go with increasing the number of them after a certain size.
