@@colaithink Bushido Blade(1997) had specific limb damage, Die By The Sword(1998) let you hack off specific limbs and chunks of body parts. Soldier of Fortune(2000) had body dismemberment. Half-Life 2(2004) had realistic physics and that was almost 20 years ago! I don't think it's a matter of if they're capable of designing a more realistic combat system but more a matter of if they want to spend the time and resources to. Never said it was easy but it's definitely doable.
