I'd love to see the Primos crew try public land, OTC elk hunting in Colorado. Let's see how good your calling and tactics are on call shy bulls!

@@aaronroybal2146 My challenge is still there. Private property like the ones that they hunt on provide a lot of great video to sell. They are welcome to join me on public land hunting to see what elk hunting really is!

@@RikkiS54 agreed, but for recording and broadcasting purposes, it only makes sense. I have best luck bringing in shy bulls by scraping trees.

True you gentlemen tag some great bulls. But I'd like to see how your hunt pans out on public land like the majority of us that aren't hunting on private ranches and fenced in ranches. Thanks guys.

Spend the money they spend and you can hunt the same private places. They are doing it for video content for revenue. It wouldn’t be beneficial to hunt public land and have people ruin your hunts and kill small none managed bucks.

no need to paint your face, these animals are color blind
@ECHO4CH4RL13
@ECHO4CH4RL13 8 жыл бұрын
i don't believe that's correct. they can see color just not the way you and i see color. last i heard there were studies being conducted by UGA to confirm specifically which light wavelenghts whitetail deer could detect, i would think that if whitetail deer can see from the green yellow wavelengths to the early UV wavelengths that an elk would have similar capabilities. Deer, dogs and pigs all have trouble with the Red wavelength.. i think last i heard, birds have better vision than humans do. basically covering the whole visible light spectrum.
@ApotheosisTK117
@ApotheosisTK117 8 жыл бұрын
Even if the animal is color blind, the paint isn't done to mask color, but rather the brightness and uniformity of the face compared to the environment. It is very easy to spot and recognize two eyes on a light-colored circle, but with mid or dark-toned paint smeared on, it is difficult to pick the face out of a messy natural scene.

For every one elk who replies "I got shot by an arrow", a hundred others reply "I was eaten alive by a pack of wolves" or "I starved to death". Nature is brutal. The thrill that comes from hunting stems from the fact that you are going toe-to-toe with nature, just like in the animal kingdom, and providing food for your family with nobody else's help but two close friends. You are surviving without relying on a slaughterhouse or food processing plant to bring you a deformed version of something mother nature created. I don't understand how people don't see that.

+Casper Roland Have you ever ate one? It is a natural thing to hunt. It is what is in our genes. As cave men we hunted for survival now we hunt for conservation and food. Hunters give more to conservation funds than any one else. Most conservation funding is sole sourced by hunters. Plus this is more humane that a slaughter house. If this is so offensive then please don't watch.
@kennethnelson885

+Casper Roland I also forgot while you are talking about God it says in the bible Genesis 27:3 Now then, take your weapons, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me. There are several other passages too.
@casper8835
@casper8835 8 жыл бұрын
the reason hunters gives more to conservation funds is so they have more to shoot. buy your food in the supermarket, iam sure you can get elk there too. i just want Hunters to admit they do it because they think its fun to kill animals. dont get me wrong i totaly agree with the part about our genes. but dont give excuses admit you like killing!

Have you ever been to a slaughter house? They are horrible places. I can't speak for all hunters just for myself. I am a meat hunter. I hunt because it fills my freezer full for my family. I can go and get my elk tag for $57 and my last elk gave me a little under 300 lbs of boneless meat. I process it myself. I can't buy 300 lbs. of meat for $57 plus the price of the camping trip. I also usually harvest 3 to 5 deer a year as well. This will feed my family for most of the year. Plus on top of that I will get the great memories of being out with my family and friends. I get the feeling that no matter what I say it will not make you happy unless I admit I'm a blood thirsty jerk. I don't know what to tell you. My family lives on what I hunt and fish. With that please check out The Rocky Mountain Elk Fdn. And what they do for wildlife. They have done more than all anti hunting foundations combined.

If it were about killing, hunters would just buy live cows, goats, chickens etc. and slaughter them. I don't hunt to kill or to attain meat (though I enjoy eating what I kill). I do it to momentarily become part of nature. You may think camping could be the same thing but camping is observing nature. To hunt is to become part of the food chain and I think most hunters feel a level of connection with nature that most non-hunters will never understand. That is why we do it.
