Kudos to Brad Gilbert who brilliantly represented the issues and concerns of the modern tennis player.

Be nice if a question was asked about whether either of these proposed tours was for the betterment of the audience and the lower ranked players. Does it improve the eco system of the sport and make it a more exciting product. Gilbert said it was upto the players as they deserve more. Sorry, players will look at which option gives the more money for less work, not what is best for the sport going forwards.

@@NeelSandellISAWESOME I am talking about what these tours do to the challenger system. Novak spoke about guys ranked 200 in the world. What happens witb the 250 and 500 events if the top players have no desire to enter them?

Players also earn money from endorsements and tournament appearance fees --- for the top players that is millions of US Dollars per year on top of the prize money for winning matches

ONLY the top 10 players on both the Men's and Women's tour earn significant revenue from endorsements and appearance fees in exhibitions. Players outside the top 20 earn very little from endorsements and other sources.

The much needed investment is needed for those outside the top 50/75 on each tour, the top players make plenty of money from both prize money and sponsorships.Hopefully the tenis authorities realise this and use the money to provide more income for the players outside the very top of the game.
