Before all the women disappeared on Earth by the "flash", things in Olathe were really different, especially for Brad, who suffered a lot since he was a kid. In this video i'll show to you all the flashbacks and hallucinations that Brad has of his past life during his quest to find Buddy.

Lived a tough life through and through, even after the world ended it continued to go downhill. You can't expect a good person to be made if all they ever know is the opposite. You aren't suppose to like Brad, you're suppose to like his character, he thinks he's doing the right thing and that's what should matter.

He kinda is, I get that he's done a lot a bad stuff. He definitely has for sure. But I never got how his ultimate goal of saving buddy was a bad one. It definitely led him to a lot of destructive behavior. But essentially what he was doing was saving a young girl (13?) From being sexually assaulted. Never got the thing where they said she belongs to the world. Not trying to start an argument or anything, just genuinely never got how that was a bad thing.

@@tophatcat1173 I must say I think the same, I suppose that they refer that she is "the last hope of Earth" so that's why Buddy belongs to the world, being the last woman of it. Brad didn't want to do anything bad with her, but the people of Olathe and their friends believe that is more important to save the humanity, and because of that everyone think he's doing something wrong (from what I understand)

@@thevarikguy5224 yeah that's basically what I got from it too. But even given how important she is, they still could have waited until she was mature enough to make her own decisions. Like they didn't have to do it when she was so young. I think if buddy was like 20 or so and Brad was still keeping her locked up, that would make a lot more sense. Because even though she would be grown enough to make her own decisions, it would still make sense that Brad was keeping her a secret since she would still most likely be taken advantage of. While at the same time you would be able to see the other side more easily, because then the other side of the spectrum wouldn't be pedophiles and also buddy would be grown enough to actually make the choices she tries to make in the story.

You know, thinking about that Lisa: The Joyful scene where Buzzo confessed that Brad was a great man and Buddy's true father, and how Yado was a "crazy old man", I can only think of The Guardians of The Galaxy quote; "He may have been your father boy, but he ain't your daddy." Yado may have been her father, but in reality, Brad did more for Buddy than Yado ever could.
