I run individual wires to each battery to reduce losses and evenly discharge. Adding 1 or 2 more batteries in parallel may be another option if physically feasible.

I bought one of these earlier this week. I use it in the kitchen with two PowerQueen 100Ah micro batteries and 600 watts of solar panels... it'll power a 1500 watt hot plate, or a standard microwave, a kuereg in the morning, or any other item like a blender if you watch your consumption. I usually use a 12v cigarette lighter RoadPro cooking pan for a side dish at the same time. I usually charge up my cell phone at the same time too! I went to 2AWG cables on the fourth day though. Overall, it's a good little inverter - so far - and I plan to buy another one of these inverters, a third battery, another charge controller and some more solar panels for the cooking set up later this year if it keeps performing like it has been.

I think i will buy one of these. I currently have a Renogy 1000 watt inverter and want a second larger inverter. I prefer this Ampeak because it has the display on it so i can monitor my power. Thanks for the video and greetings from Jamaica.

I hope you can make a video where you can show and test less noisy inverters and ofcourse with less noisy loads 😂. Leaf blowers and heater fans are noisy on their own. If you have an decibel reader you could inform us about decibels of the fan noise. But anyway glad to see that the ampeak inverter performs good energy and looks good too.

👍👌❤️🇨🇦, if an individual used a battery shutoff switch, there should be a need for using a resistor, no spark
@BradCagle
@BradCagle 10 ай бұрын
Well, also the thing about using the resistor is it limits that initial inrush current that may damage the capacitors overtime. Thanks

I bought the 1200w version a few months ago. There are two deal breakers for me. 1. Dirty power: When plugging in my strand of string lights, they flicker like crazy. It would give my a headache, but I pretend its light from a campfire and that makes my brain accept it. 2. You mentioned this one but the fans: Its not just the noise from the fans, but there is NO fan curve programmed in. Its either 0 or 100% based on really arbitrary conditions like pulling more than 100w. Well my draw is often fluctuating right around 100w, so I get to listen to the fans turning off and on at really fast and random intervals. It sounds like someone has a hair dryer and is just flipping the switch off and on as fast as they can. Junk unit, would not recommend.
@BradCagle
@BradCagle Жыл бұрын
Yeah. The fan noise is a bummer. My leesky inverter is better on the noise issue. I have not played much with lights so haven't noticed flickering. What light strand do you have? I would like to add that to my testing procedure . Thanks
@steveholt480
@steveholt480 Жыл бұрын
Oh I forgot the third one: it has a timeout shutoff for when there’s no load, but it doesn’t listen or try to “sense” and loads being plugged in once it’s shut off. My string lights only pull 15w and apparently that’s below the threshold of what it considers a load, so after 10 minutes my lights turn off and I have to power cycle the inverter and plug something bigger in so it won’t happen again. That means if you are using intermittent loads, like say a mini fridge, and nothing else is plugged in, it would work until the fridge kicks off. It would sense no load and shutdown until manually power cycled again. Unacceptable.
@BradCagle
@BradCagle Жыл бұрын
@@steveholt480 man that sucks. I have not checked to see if my 1200w version does that shutoff. BTW i modded the fans in my 1200w. Basically i put 5v zener diode in the positive wire on each fan. The make them run at lower voltage, and much quieter. Doesn't seem to effect the temps too bad.

jarxioxke 4000 watt box cost around 300-350 and weights 16lbs,(I look at the weight of these things.)This model is the one I finally picked. VOLFVERT looks to to be the same box but I think Jarxioxke has better customer support. I understand Volfvert was could only pull 3,300watts with the 4,000 watt model. I Understand that with 12 volts you shouldn't pull more then 3000 watts anyways,Hell more like 2000 watts really. Tons of amp draw for any device. Giandal is the best i think but still have problems but the best customer support. If you just want to run 1500 watts - 2500 watts pick a 4,000 watt inverter. 60%-75% of what is stated is the safe spot to keep these things running for a while.

Another great review video. For long term use do you recommend fusing batteries when putting in parallel? If so what type of fuses do you use or recommend? Thanks👍🏽
@BenMitro
@BenMitro Жыл бұрын
I would only fuse the output of the battery bank. Fusing between batteries will mean many dead fuses when you inadvertently connect a flatter than the others in paralllel.

Another great video. Is it smaller than the Leesky 1500W you just tested? How well does it handle high surge current loads? Can you also do the tear down of this unit and the Leesky? Thanks. BTW, @5:24 I see the supplied wire is 20mm2 so it is a little bit smaller than #4 Awg.

@@BradCagle Great, I cannot wait to see the inside of the Leesky compared to Ampeak. BTW, according to Leesky, the seller indicated that Leesky is the sub company of Gindel that makes the same inverter but the Leesky sells the version with GFCI outlets and that why the case looks just like Giandel inverter. I look at the 2000W one and saw this so i just bought the 2000W one tonight for $242 (that is with 10% off today): Question:Is your brand a new sub brand of giandel? Answer:Thank you for following Leesky closely. Yes we're a sub brand of Giandel, selling another series inverters, especially gfci outlet power inverters. All our inverters producing in Giandel's high standards, is also a good choice for you. Any chances welcome to choose Leesky Inverter. By leesky SELLER on September 2, 2022

Wonder if they can send you a 48V inverter....those cables would be about right for 1/4 the current of the 12V Inverter. You can then test 4 of those batteries in series too.

That Ampeak looks alot like my Kreiger. I'm researching inverters and is why I found this video. I purchased the Krieger 2000W PSW inverter from Amazon for almost $300.. It is part of a 300W emergency solar backup system with 2 Redodo 100AH batteries. I have had no power outages yet so I have never had to connect it to any household appliances. I only turn it on 2 times a week to charge power tool batteries, flash light and some 18650 batteries. The unit is basically on standby. It is only 13 months old. I turned it on today, it blinked, the fan made its usual whirring noise and then it just shut down and died. Won't turn on. It's getting power to the terminals. Batteries are at 14.30. I am super disappointed in the quality of the Krieger unit that has NEVER even been put through its paces. Contacted Power Bright the distributor, and waiting on a replacement. I didn't take it apart to see what happened, though I really want to but it would void the warranty.
