I went to this game when the boys came to town that year. That was a hard fought battle. Coach Tomey had that team prepared for Brennan and company. I haven't been to a college game since. Mahalo for uploading dis one.

What I hated about all this BCS thinking and conferences and so called experts were thinking that Brennan was a system Quarterback. They would criticize how he can't go from under center, his throwing style, his footwork etc. Look at how many teams now run similar offenses where the QB is not under center, they use 3 to 4 receivers, one back. Look at how many pro teams no longer have QB under center. They always compare the opponents from major conferences against mid-majors, but this is a team of Hawaii where they do NOT have 3,4 or 5 star recruits. What if UH had 3,4 or 5 recruits and played in a major conference? They can still beat teams from major conferences with smaller talent. In this game the reason they didn't do well is because the sodden turf. If the receivers can't make their cut on time, a lot of it is timing. Put this game on Astroturf and this would not have been a struggle. Look at 3:37:37 and the footing from the SJ QB. Brennan was having the same problems. Many people don't realize that Brennan's touchdown totals did not include many games where he did not play the 4th Quarter because the score was already out of hand. RIP Colt!

I agree 100% he was throwing absolute dimes. If guys like Bryce Young and Mac Jones can be starters in todays nfl I fully believe Colt would be a successful NFL QB in today’s era. I mean that in all seriousness I think if he was on Bama he would start over those two. I was sad to hear he passed.

I miss the old WAC Conference. These teams haven't been the same since they left and the conference went non-football

You’re not joking. I’m a La Tech fan and we had an amazing game with Hawaii on 2007. I remember watching this game with SJSU live. 2007 WAC was amazing

SJ had a two-TD lead with only 8 min to go in the 4th quarter. Their inability to chew up the clock cost them the game. When the RB fumbled the ball with 3 min to go, I already knew that Hawaii would tie the game. In those days, Hawaii could complete one pass after another like it was no big deal.
