Frankie Valle and the Four Seasons had a slew of hits. Great harmonies and Frankie's great Falsetto singing voice. He also had several solo hits. Great music in the 1960's and 1970's.

Hit after hit. The Four Seasons ( give credit where credit is due) were the ultimate American pop band (with The Beach Boys) of the early 60s and into the 70s and not just Frankie Valli's amazing falsetto. Bob Gaudio was a master producer and song writer and the others harmonies blended with Valli's voice. Need to explore them more. Wonderful reaction..
@ProdigyBowlersTour Жыл бұрын
Fun fact: Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons had more singles chart on Billboard's Hot 100 list in the 1960s than any other recording artist(s). They were simply a hitmaking machine. And Frankie Valli's falsetto voice is a big reason why. Check out the movie "Jersey Boys" for their story. Some great music there, too. You could do these songs by them: "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Sherry," "Opus 17," "Working My Way Back to You," "Tell It to the Rain."

What this is, is them doing Motown without it being a Motown group. It's got the straight ahead beat, the fuzz guitar, the horn section, the Bari Sax solo, Let's Hang On theme like You Keep Me Hangin' On by the Supremes, only that came later. "Baby baby?" The Supremes sang "Baby, Baby, Where Did Our Love Go, in 1964. It; Frankie Valli and the Four Motowns in effect...

This song was a hit in 1965, when I was 13 and my brother was 11. I understood that pop songs were about love; my brother didn't. He wondered why Frankie wanted to hang onto a lot of lumpy peanuts.

This song was recorded in 1965. In 1966, this was reworded as a jingle for a Beech-Nut Spearmint Gum TV commercial. The Four Seasons sang on the ad, and Frankie Valli was the narrator, explaining how the flavor of the gum hangs on. It was an early use of a hit song being transformed for a commercial. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpe9f4FpeJqpg68

The Four Seasons had a great string of hits in the pre-Beatles years of 1962-3. When the Beatles and British Invasion changed pop music and ruled radio airplay, they could have disappeared like many other performers but this 1965 hit kept them on top and they and Frankie Valli as a solo continued to have hits for many more years.

If you like this group, I would HIGHLY recommend watching the movie Jersey Boys. (2014) Two of the last living members of the Four Seasons (Frankie Valli & Bob Guadio) served as executive producers so we all know the scenes in the movie are vaild. I'd never knew how much mess the group were in back then, its a must watch.
