I like Kim, but he's kind of in the shitty position of just being a lead guitarist in a band that doesn't always have a lot of big solos. While they all contributed to writing the songs, Chris was the most creative force, and he was also an excellent guitarist himself.

@@endocry well I could be wrong, but at the time (I’m of the age ha) this was current, I thought his somewhat understated guitar style was by design. I think kim did have a rather unique style regardless.

One thing to know about Soundgarden - they were the first of the Seattle / grunge bands to get a major record deal. While Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Pearl Jam were promoting their debut albums, Soundgarden already had 2 full albums and 2 EPs released. "Outshined" is actually off their 3rd album - "Badmotorfinger" - a great album!!! But there are dozens of great Soundgarden songs off their previous recordings that few fans / reactors seem to pay attention to - and i would urge you to check out some of their early songs - some of my favorites are: "GUN, BEYOND THE WHEEL, I AWAKE, and LOUD LOVE." You guys are so much fun...different visions, yet in sync...Take it from this old 60 year old lady,...y'all are so good together. Having spent lmy career life in economic development(retired now but still do consulting gigs) I enjoy reactors and you two are banging it!
