@@plantcraftie4141 100%. If you find the absurdity in things at the same time as another person, that's when this happens. Jimmy and Bradley are dying of laughter because of the absurdity of those hats mixed with the seriousness of the condition the real person, Joseph Merrick (who's name they got wrong), further mixed with having to put the hats back on, etc. Find absurdity with someone and you'll experience laughter like this. Mushrooms are a shortcut to the absurdity, because they reveal to you how absurd -everything- is. Remember, we're floating around on a space rock that's huge, but is actually on the small side of things in the universe. We're not here long enough to take things so seriously, and finding absurdity will set you free

what really does it is, this is a really serious play and the man had a very difficult life, so super inappropriate to be laughing, which just makes it way way worse and those are the times when we can't stop. @Dutch3DMaster5 жыл бұрын
Camera operators are never working with their arms crossed, camera on a tripod/pedestal or not :P. If any, some might be trying to contain their laughter themselves (I know a camera operator who once came in at work and immediately said to me "Remember, if you have a female reporter with you interviewing a female spokesperson and they get the giggles, you will inevitably start to laugh to, no matter how hard you try." Some might be annoyed because it's taking so long (I think there are like 3-4 camera's on a show like this) and others might be simply having a good time because instead of a reasonably static shot on a show like this the person they need to keep in shot is being unpredictable.

I LOVE this. To watch them enjoy what they do is one of the best things in the world. Why couldn't this whole segment air the way it played out? Its not often that you see a late night talk show talk about cutting and restarting a segment that looks like its going great. Either way, I'm thrilled this segment was saved and posted!
@violeta58510 жыл бұрын
They aired 6min & it shows the resetting parts, the vid is on the channel w/o 'uncut version'. They probably had time restraints & other segs. would not fit, they would've had to cut something else.
@CaseyNoK10 жыл бұрын
Voicu Violeta I'm thinking they cut the Thank You Notes segment a bit. I mean, normally in between 'thank yous', Jimmy and Higgins would goof off a lot and this time they didn't.
Not that I don't love this either, but that is _all_ Fallon did on SNL. He was just breaking in every skit. It was kind of his charm, actually. Probably the only cast member who could get away with laughing _so much_ during a live broadcast and *not* get fired by Lorne.

The very definition of a case of the giggles. This once happened to a family member and I in a hospital waiting room. It was the best laughing moment in my entire life and also the most embarrassing. We were laughing so hard, wheezing, snickering and our faces were so red while others in the waiting room kept side glancing at us. What's even funnier is, to this day, I cannot remember why we were laughing or even what triggered it. Best case of the giggles ever. 😁
