More modern metal bands have a whole arsenal of effects and production techniques at their disposal to make their music heavier. The first time a band get the brand heavy metal is was Cream. The first heavy metal band named so was Blue Cheer. We all know this "heavy metal thinger" from steppenwolfs born to be wild song, this was the first time the word pop up in lyrics. Hell yeah bro, all metal is good metal \m/! Everybody’s got their own opinions and preferences about it and there’s something for everyone :) Personally, what defines something as metal FOR ME is how hard hitting it can sound. It can groove and build up tension, make you wanna go outside and like fight a tree or just do something ACTIVE to get all of the energy out, while keeping the spirit of the music alive which is something I truly appreciate about the art form. It’s part of the reason why I love newer bands like After the Burial and Wage War, they just bring the heat and bring it HARD!

I love the 80's and 2000's riffs personally. Then Again the Late 90's and Early 2000's I discovered Metal. I fell in love with Ozzy and Metallica and discovering the new stuff at the time.

Ok I understand you’re doing the history of metal and not the top songs of the artist but where the hell is Slayer

It's absolutely criminal, isn't it? Angel of Death would've slotted right in there perfectly, after Battery.

Slayer was just a band in thrash metal genre history which was pioneered by metallica and megadeth.

What was disturbing was there is no Death riffs which was absolute necessary i mean a lot of every melodic metal started from them.

Literally a crime to not include anything from ride the lightning or painkiller; both revolutionary albums in thrash and heavy metal. I do appreciate the inclusion of Sabaton, which somehow never makes it into lists like these despite being one of the most popular modern metal bands.

They never do because their song structure is so pop-ish people are afraid to like them lol
@bigbo17642 жыл бұрын
@@matteodotdpsatgmaildotcom2451 I’ll admit the song structure has been pretty repetitive in recent albums, but some of their older albums like Primo Victoria and Coat of Arms are fantastic as traditional metal albums. Not to say their newer stuff is bad, I love it personally, but I see how some people could find it annoying.

I agree with that, but I think it's kinda their fault for not doing practically anything to connect with people. If you check their social media it only consists in posting tour dates and merch while other bands share a lot of content with people. It's almost as if they wanted to stay low
