The way I got into SOAD was pretty great. A buddy of mine had bought the first album, and didn't particularly care for it. He comes to me and says "Hey you like weird shit, you can have this!" and gave me the CD. I listened to it after he left, called him up and was like "YOU DON'T LIKE THIS?!" It was love at first listen for me. Bought Toxicity day one too. That's about where it ends though. My punkhouse buddies absolutely ruined Steal This Album, and the rest I don't care about.

IF HYPNOTIZE AND MESMERIZE DIDN'T SOUND LIKE SHIT (in terms of the dialed guitar tone and the general sound itself of the band not sound in terms of composition but just sound): TOXICITY > SELF TITLED > HYPNOTIZE > MESMERIZE > STEAL THIS ALBUM but since they ruined their sound by the end.... 20-year-old me would have probably agreed with your list, but the one that's aged the best in my view remains the first album.
