That Kerry King one was so accurate, I'd love to see Daron Malakian in a Part 2. He's one of my favourite guitarists, but there can be a lot of fun to be had with his playing style (maybe a small poke at the time his guitar shorted out or his super sporadic style of the first SOAD album)

Sound good if you are ok with the fact that the harmonies were out of tune on purpose to make it sound dumb. In my ear it sounded awful which was probably what he was going for 😂

The Gilmour gag is hilarious. It's also funny the fact that his one single note is better than any thousand notes in a second that the others could make

I’m with you on that boat man. The fancy tapping shit just isn’t that cool to me. Guitarists nowadays need to play some damn power chords and focus on writing good songs.

You just don’t like it because it’s not what you grew up listening to and/or playing, has no bearing on whether it’s objectively good sounding or not. There’s a reason this new style hasn’t just died out, it’s because there are people for whom it actually sounds good and neat. And it happens to be that most of them are younger. Familiarity bias isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but if you don’t acknowledge it’s there you will end up with clouded judgments.

@@hamabrewer you're right I didn't grow up with it. It's OK if I find it generic and not very interesting. Lots of people like and that's cool. Not everyone needs to like everything new.

@@hamabrewer As i said, i HATE polyphia, never said they werent talented. I play for over 23 years and will never in a 100 years be as good as Tim, but that shit doesnt sound good to ME, feel free to like whatever you want. There´s many things i didnt grew up listening to and love it..It´s just a matter of taste, some like and others dont´ simple as it can be ;)
