Why nobody is talking about the sheer insanity that is Yo Onityan's solo is beyond me. Surely not as melodic as many, but certainly the most technically monstrous. Edit: He along with Tramaine Johnathan were simply unreal.
@Geraet4 жыл бұрын
Nothing I've seen really matches his technically. Jason Richardson, Michael Angelo Batio, Lucas Mann and Rusty Cooley are all insane but I think he is above them.
@shredcini57784 жыл бұрын
@@Geraet He's somewhat reaching toward Shawn Lane levels, but still has a way to go. He's also far from Roy Marchbank, too. Regardless, that's not saying much, as those are the absolute pinnacle of technical guitar. He could bounce off Richardson very well; I think they both seem similarly skillful. This is all my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt.

@@Geraet The incomprehensibly unreal kind. I've taken a few lessons from him and we've chatted a lot; he's a great guy and is the absolute real deal. Tbh, you'd be surprised at how many musicians and talents exist out there who aren't in any spotlight, or find no fame outside a very small group of folks. I, myself, can do stuff like Lane and Yo can, (I've got videos on here to verify that), but I keep to myself, and I know of many people who can play incredibly well, yet have a surprisingly small audience. The "famous" players are a tiny speck of the full scope of musicians out there who are highly capable.

She's not that good, constantly breaking the rhythm. I'm confused why she's even in this list. Go look at Tina S if you want to see female talent. Although she doesn't upload anymore which sucks.

Very proud of Cait. 🤘 I honestly really enjoyed her solo. The phrasing was unique and she holds her own. Doesn’t try to be too fast, is usually very melodic - what a lot of people don’t know is that the kid is 19 and has been playing lead guitar for only 2.5 years, and still can pull off a collab like this... that’s BOSS One constructive criticism I will say is that her solo is just a tad off time (which DEFINITELY appears to be an editing issue.. I noticed that with several other players on this track) but for being the first giant collab her and Bradley did, I’d say it’s an incredible start and can only be better next time. Cait’s new to the game, and fairly new to guitar as well. She’s on her grind, the hardest working kid I’ve come across In a while. She deserves this success. Give her time to improve, explore her guitar skills, she’ll be coming up- her ambition from what I’ve seen is ridiculous. And to the haters- well, it’s her ambition that got her to shred with these players, and if you’re mad about it, be mad. Go Cait ❤️

@@jasonp9841 lucas Mann’s solo is heavily edited too LOL. Obviously it was edited if she threw a clean tone in there, but there’s nothing wrong with that- all the players did amazing! And for an amazing cause.. she’s learning ... let her learn and grow 🤘
@jasonp98414 жыл бұрын
@@michaelbondarchuck2235 Lucas Mann's solo is at the very least seamlessly edited. He's also an insanely accomplished musician. I'm not stopping her from learning and growing, we were all there at one point; but I'm also not gonna be 1 of the hundreds of "yes man" followers she has. She should try some more melodic stuff as opposed to technical stuff by trying to keep up with literal next level shredders. She's just not there yet. Musically speaking her solo is off time, the technique isn't there and as a result it gets heavily edited. And hey, hopefully one day she does get there cause I love watching people improve. And I'm not trying to sound like a hater here, just being honest. Unlike the others saying "oh she sucks" i can at least articulate my thoughts. Edit: I also just want to acknowledge before I get lambasted for not recognizing this - Yes, I know this video is for a good cause .
@thecaitdevin4 жыл бұрын
@@jasonp9841 hi there Ja! I ALWAYS appreciate constructive advice - so I thank you for that! As musicians, we all have barriers and obstacles to break through- a lot of my followers actually aren’t “yes men” I get a lot of honest feedback and I’m lucky to surround myself with accomplished musicians who have great advice as well. I don’t consider myself to be a great shredder, and I try to lean towards slower more melodic solos (I have more content here on my social media.) but I also like to explore different styles. I consider myself fortunate for the opportunities and the grind never stops! 🙏 take care and have a snazzy day
