Where To Find A Coosa River Bass - Weiss Lake Bass Fishing

Great video. For us guys that live in northwest Georgia we have a lot of good lakes within an hour to an hour and a half from us. Chick, Lanier which you know is a good lake, guntersville but it’s hard to drive anywhere else but lake Weiss. For me it’s the best lake we have around.

This is unbelievable ! I have been on google earth trying to figure out where I wanted to start on lake Weiss/Coosa River and Boom My man Brad made a dang Video ! OMG ! The upper river Rapids you pointed out is the old Lock & Dam . There is a boat ramp there at the old locks but the river above the dam has to be accessed from the boat ramp in the city of Rome Ga at Sam King park

hmmmm i got a question on this... if the imagery date is 2012 how can u really follow this gauging a low/high level of water as a current time? sorry if its a ignorant question but im also curious.... are u gauging by simple aesthetics on the topography of the lake when u look at these from google earth? like idk if coosa river rises if the res of wiess lake rises as well being from st louis... but if the lake rises aswell would the non tree covers be covered in water? from looking from google maps in that pespective... looking at it that way is that what u generally look for in backwater?

If I am going to fish these areas crossing back and forth between Alabama and Georgia will I need to have fishing licenses for both states? What about vessel licenses for state I’m not a resident to?

I don’t know about the fishing licenses the boat only registered in the state that is from.

Alabama and GA’s reciprocal agreement do not apply on Weiss. You’d need both.

You pretty much can't run the GA side of Weiss unless you have a Tunnel hull or Jet Boat.
